Effective: September 7, 2024
These Terms explain the rules, license, disclaimers, and purchase conditions that apply when you use the StructCalc mobile app.
By downloading, installing, or using StructCalc, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of StructCalc after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
StructCalc is a mobile construction calculator intended to help professionals and DIY users perform calculations, manage projects, and prepare estimates. The app is provided as a practical tool for convenience and information, not as engineering certification, professional supervision, or a substitute for site-specific review.
Subject to these Terms, StructCalc grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal or internal business use. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass purchase controls, or copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by applicable law.
Some features may require a paid in-app purchase to unlock premium access. The current mobile implementation uses third-party providers including RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play to process purchases and restore entitlements.
StructCalc does not directly process or store your full payment details. Pricing, taxes, billing, renewals if ever offered, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the checkout flow and policies of the platform through which you make the purchase.
StructCalc is designed so that your projects, calculations, settings, and similar working data remain stored locally on your device in the current mobile app. Using paid features may require limited information to be processed by third-party purchase providers so they can validate and restore purchases.
Your use of StructCalc is also subject to the Privacy Policy available in the app.
StructCalc aims to provide useful calculations and estimates, but results may contain errors, omissions, rounding differences, or assumptions that do not fit your specific project. All output is provided for informational purposes only.
You must independently review and verify every calculation, dimension, estimate, and recommendation before relying on it in any construction, purchasing, budgeting, or safety-related context. StructCalc is not a substitute for qualified professional advice from an engineer, architect, contractor, or other expert.
You are solely responsible for how you use the app and for any decisions, purchases, designs, measurements, or work performed based on app output. You are also responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, and safety requirements in your location and project context.
StructCalc, including its design, text, branding, source code, compiled code, features, and related content, is owned by StructCalc and its developers or licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Except for the limited license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StructCalc is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StructCalc and its developers, licensors, affiliates, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill, property, or personal injury arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue StructCalc or any feature at any time. We may also limit or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or if continued availability is no longer practical.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of StructCalc shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
