Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to StructCalc! By downloading, installing, and using the StructCalc mobile application ("the App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using StructCalc, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to modify, update, or change these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the App after such modifications will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. App Description

StructCalc is a versatile construction calculator designed for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. The App assists users in performing various construction-related calculations, such as rafters, stairs, and estimations. While the App aims to provide accurate results, it is meant for informational purposes only.

3. Free Trial and Paid Features

StructCalc offers a 5-day free trial period during which all features are fully unlocked. After the trial period, certain features will require either a subscription or a one-time purchase to unlock all functionalities. Users can continue to use the free version of the App with limited features if they choose not to purchase a subscription or one-time access. Payments are processed securely via third-party services, including RevenueCat, Google Play, and the App Store.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments for subscriptions or one-time purchases are processed through RevenueCat, Google Play, or the App Store, depending on your device platform. StructCalc does not handle or store payment information directly. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms and conditions of the respective payment platform (Google Play or App Store). Subscription renewals will be automatically charged unless canceled before the end of the billing period. Refunds are managed according to the respective app store's refund policies.

5. Data and Privacy

StructCalc does not allow users to create accounts or provide personally identifiable information (PII) to the developers. Any data entered into the App, including calculation results and settings, is saved locally on the user’s device and is not accessible to StructCalc or its developers. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of non-personal, aggregate data for analytical purposes, which may be used to improve App performance.

6. Accuracy of Calculations

StructCalc strives to provide accurate calculations, but the results produced by the App are for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of the user to verify and confirm the accuracy of any calculations performed with the App before relying on them for professional or personal purposes. StructCalc and its developers are not liable for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the calculations provided by the App. The App should not be solely relied upon for critical decisions, including but not limited to construction projects, financial estimates, or safety-related applications.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StructCalc and its developers, partners, affiliates, or licensors are not responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to financial loss, business interruption, injury, or property damage resulting from the use or inability to use the App. Users assume full responsibility for any risks associated with the use of the App.

8. User Responsibility

The user is solely responsible for ensuring that all calculations and information generated by the App are correct and suitable for the intended purpose. StructCalc is a tool to assist with calculations and estimations but is not a substitute for professional judgment or advice from a qualified expert in construction or engineering.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to designs, logos, text, and code, are the property of StructCalc and its developers or licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

10. Modifications and Termination

StructCalc reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App or its features at any time without prior notice. StructCalc may also terminate access to the App for users who violate these Terms or for any reason deemed appropriate by the developers.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Norway. However, local mandatory consumer protection laws in the country of the user may apply.
